Okay, it seems that no one is willing to guess yet. So, are you ready for today’s clue? Here goes: The same man who penned the words “The best laid plans o’ mice an’ men / Gang aft agley” came from this country. (In fact, I bought a little book of his poems today for my future classroom.)
Until someone guesses where I am, though, my tongue is a bit tied as to my doings today. It may not be too much information, though, to mention that I visited Urquhart Castle–which is in ruins. But it had a great view of more mountains and a pretty, calm lake. And there was a snow flurry while I was there, too! I seem to have hit upon a good time of year for this area.
But, I’ve come very close to giving away far too much–I probably have already passed that point, in fact. Fortunately, it’s been a slow day, and that’s almost all I would have to write about, anyway.
But, back in the States, it’s not a slow day for someone, because she’s having a birthday. Have a good one, Nina.
Be seeing you!
Scotland!?
Aww, this is what I get for not reading your blog promptly, thanks Sierra! And, I just got something in the mail, and I’m so excited about your getting to go and I have to e-mail you!!! (Also, did you hear Davidson is in the Sweet Sixteen?)
scotland! YAY! I think I have a book of poems similar to the one you said you bought by Burns. That is so cool that you got to buy yours in Scotland!
