I bet you all want to know how the plane ride went, huh? You know, the sad thing is that I could be telling you directly, right now, while I type, instead of cutting-and-pasting it later on. But, then again, I can’t, because I didn’t pack my Internet cable in my carry-on. So, as a note to all other users of US Airways who have a long flight ahead of them and who might want Internet service during said flight, there are jacks in the armrests. No kidding. And I’m using them on the way back, that’s a sure thing.
Oh, but the flight: Let me just say that I wouldn’t wish a night flight on anyone. No, sirree.
The adventure started well, though. My family went with me to the airport to see me off, and we got some pretty fun pictures while we were there. You could make a fortune returning luggage carts to the rental slots, let me tell you. A quarter a piece will add up.
Oh, and that pesky luggage? The footlocker ended up weighing 47.0 pounds, according to the airline’s scale, and that’s good enough for me. The suitcase–well, it was 49.5. Still good enough. Mission accomplished, as I said before.
But my carry-on weighed a wopping 35 pounds! I do not suggest this much weight for carry-on luggage, let me say that right now. I’m going to amend that on the way back, I assure you. Probably by shipping stuff back to the homefront as I finish with it.
We had a couple of stupendous in-flight movies that I just didn’t have the energy to watch: 3:10 to Yuma was a tremendous and welcome surprise; Ocean’s 13 was also listed, as was The Bourne Ultimatum, but I’d watched those movies over Christmas break, so they didn’t need rewatching. I guess that’s a good thing, because otherwise I’d have gotten less than the little sleep I got. I started to watch Hairspray, but I got through the first song and was bored. Sorry to all the Hairspray fans that I know. I don’t even think I got to see Zac Efron in whatever role he was playing, I got bored so quickly.
Speaking of movie people, and then I’ll let you go because I’ll have to shut down my computer for landing: is it possible that Skandar Keynes could be a passenger aboard my flight? Does anyone know where I can look to find out? There’s a kid that looks exactly like him–based upon what I think he would look like after two years of aging since the filming of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Do you even know who I’m talking about? Edmund. I think he’s on my plane! But that could just be my imagination running away from me.
Be seeing you!

Hello Sierra! Your blog inspired me so I created one, although it is not nearly as cool as yours and I doubt I will post that much but I thought it would be an easy way to see what is going on with everyone! Love your Airport Pictures!

On the flight home in June just leave the kitchen sink with the Bridgers, then you’ll have room for your cable!
Oh well, this is a result of double clicking! I wish I could think of something intelligent to say……Lightening has all four paws securely on the ground. How’s that?
Triple clicking???
Quadruple clicking?
This is crazy. Sierra, go on to your blog manager and remove all these crazy posts. There is no way I’ve clicked “submit” this many times!
I love you!
See???
This is what you get when you single click. Your blog is quite fun (I meant to say “interesting” because I save my 3 letter words for scabble) to read. I’ll make sure I check it daily.
I am shocked that you disliked the movie Hairspray!!!! You need to give it a second chance. It is really good, Sierra–especially watching John Travolta playing a woman.
You need to see Mr. Beans Holiday. You most likely could travel to the places he was at in the movie over there. Won’t that be fantastic!!
Glad things are going well. Say hello to Prince Will and Prince Harry for me.
Love Ya.
Hi Sierra,
Heard you called mom today. That’s awesome that you have a new friend in England from….Alamance County, NC. What are the chances?
Don’t let your mom fool you, she “clicked” all those times hoping to get the message to you faster!
Have fun!
Lisa
Where’s the Mafia picture? You know, you don’t want to dissappoint the family…..
I have to agree with you about disliking “Hairspray” I actually fast fowarded through most of the songs when I watched it. But As Tracy said Mr.Beans Holiday you should totally watch. It is really hilarious.
